When you use FairAssess, we may collect: (1) contact information you provide, such as name, email address, phone number, and property address; (2) property and tax data from public records and third-party data providers used to generate savings estimates; (3) payment information processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers on our servers; and (4) technical data such as IP address, browser type, and analytics events when you visit our site.

How we use your information

We use collected information to:

• Verify property addresses and generate savings estimates
• File and manage property tax appeals on your behalf
• Process membership payments and send transactional emails
• Respond to support requests and improve our services
• Measure marketing performance (e.g., Google Ads conversions) when you arrive via campaigns

Sharing with third parties

We share data only with service providers that help us operate FairAssess — including payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), database hosting (Supabase), and address verification APIs. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Data retention

We retain account and appeal records for as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of marketing data by contacting us at hello@fairassess.com.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and secure third-party infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA. Contact hello@fairassess.com to exercise these rights.

Children

FairAssess is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
