About FairAssess
Homeowners deserve a fair number on their assessment
Counties appraise millions of properties at once — and the errors almost always favor the tax roll, not the homeowner. We built FairAssess to level that field.
Our story
Started by homeowners who appealed — and won
FairAssess began when our founders successfully appealed their own property tax assessments in Texas — and realized how few neighbors knew they could do the same. The process was buried in county websites, deadline-driven, and designed for tax professionals — not working families.
We built software to verify addresses, model savings from public data, and file appeals at scale — then wrapped it in transparent pricing and a refund guarantee so homeowners could try it without gambling on a contingency fee.
Today we serve homeowners across five states, with the same principle: show the truth first, charge a fair flat fee second, and refund it if we don't deliver.

What we believe
Principles behind every appeal
Transparency first
You see verified savings before pricing. No surprise invoices, no percentage of your win taken behind your back.
Homeowner advocacy
Counties mass-appraise millions of parcels. Individual homeowners shouldn't need a law degree to fight an unfair number.
Flat, fair pricing
One annual membership — scaled to your savings potential — instead of contingency fees that grow every year you save.
Skin in the game
Our refund guarantee means we only keep your fee when we deliver a real assessment reduction.
